GROUND
2020, 370 x 192cm, charcoal, ink & acrylic paint on paper
GROUND was a four-week project that coincided with lutruwita/Tasmania’s COVID-19 lockdown. During this period, I took to a 250x150cm piece of paper taped to the ground, as a coping mechanism for my nervousness towards the unknown future. I altered between drawing, erasing, painting and sanding. These marks were applied in response to the sunlight and shadows piercing through windows, the daylight being the only predictable and reliable factor in my life at that time.
